Good evening everyone. Well, I decided to change my name. No, No, not my personal name -- I changed my blog name. So, my mom had to go and re-put me in as a blog she was following so I am not sure if everyone will have to do that or if it was just a fluke. But, here it is with it's new name. This name made sense because of a few reasons:
Moondust came about around the time I got my car. I bought a new sparkly shimmer powder (makeup) that said the name was moondust. I thought it was a cute name and a cute product but not much other than that. So then, The next day at work, there was 4 of us going to lunch together and someone mentioned we take my car to lunch since it was new and so I could show it off to them. One of the girl's with us asked what is the name of the color and I said, "I don't really know, I suppose champagne or something, but the paperwork (the car was bought from a used car dealer) just said tan." She said, "Oh, I figured it would be something fancy like sand-sparkle or moondust or something." and so I said, "That's it!! Moondust! That is the name of my car color! I just bought a makeup compact with that name that is the same color as my car!"
And so, it goes that's how moondust came about.
Now with Marita--very simple. My middle name is Marie and when I was little, my mom used to call me Tawnya Marita or a lot of times, just Marita. I didn't like it much then but as I got older I thought it was a really cute name. So, Moondust Marita was born.

Just a quick shout out to my Beautiful and Wonderful Mumma~~ Today is her Birthday So, Happy Sweet Shabby Pink Birthday to you! If you don't know my Mom, She is a blessing to everyone she comes in contact with. She is sweet and has a very tender heart. She is shy and so not a lot of people know what they are missing by not knowing her. She is funny and smart and Beautiful. Thank you God for blessing me, by picking her to be my Mom. Love You Mumma~~

So, Good evening to everyone! I have been a little tied up lately but have got to play with my camera a little bit so will post a few pics that people have been asking for. Today I was busy making things a little "shabbier". I added a few decals on a couple of items that I have been wanting to get done for a while and then put a coat of pink on a few more items for shabby-ing up later! Today I added decals to a little 2 drawer chest my mom painted and gave me. She still liked it and wanted it, but I was encouraging her to get rid of stuff for moving in their new house so, that was one of the things she got rid of and I immediately thought of doing it up and giving it back so that is done now-- but shhhh....don't tell her. lol {she is the most faithful reader of my blog. ;o) Also, don't tell her I told you, but her birthday is Thursday the 26th!}. I also added a decal to this pink candle. I did up a little display but will have to move it out of sight before I go to bed tonight or it may be destroyed in the morning. My mom always used to say, "kitties or pretties" {lol} cuz you can't have both until they are older and past the hyper stage.

So anyway, without further ado...

So, that was fun. I have pink paint on my fingers and fingernails and my jeans and shirt. I put a first coat on about 10 things. A couple of them are metal and so I hope it sticks because it is still too cold to go paint them outside the way I should be-- with primer and such but the primer stinks so bad. But soon hopefully it will start warming up. Scott got my bike down and oiled the chain for me over the weekend because it did get warm a few days last week and I was in the mood for a ride but I can't get it down from the hooks it hangs from in the ceiling in the garage. I have a really old fashioned looking one and it is pink and white too! (Shabby) It is really neat looking and hopefully I will get to ride it and maybe take some pics of it to post. :o)

Well sooooo.....

It's that time again!

UGH!

Been so sick I haven't had much time to play with camera. Been sleeping my life away or going to work and just trying to get better. My voice is really gruff. My dad told my mom I sounded like a guy on the phone! Ribbit Ribbit~

But anyway, here are a couple things I did get done before I got sick. Not much and nothing very impressive but none the less--

This is the camera with the lens on it. I got a Tamron lens that does 18mm - 250mm. I read a lot about it and it was so versatile rather than changing lenses all the time.

I have been trying to read the book and watch YouTube videos online to learn all about the functions and it is amazing all this can do. I am excited. I wish I was good already at it but I know that it takes time, practice, and patience. The sun was bright today but I laid on the couch all day. Wish I felt up to taking a walk and trying some pictures outside but not so much.

The other night was a doosie...
Well, a little backtrack: I am on the hunt for a really good case now for my nice camera. I don't want it too bulky because I want to take it with me everywhere. I also don't need too much room because I don't have any different lenses. I got one from work, but it is so bulky and manly looking {Boring} :o) so... I found one online that I really liked and it happened to be at Wal-Mart. They didn't have it online--in store only. Only one problem: the only store within 100 miles was a half hour drive away. So, I go to pick up my mom and head out to get this bag, long story short: My car broke! The control arm that held the back wheel on snapped in 2 pcs.! Well, Dad came to pick us up and they could fix it the next day--they just closed when I came in.

So, we went to eat

Funny story about this-- When my parents were moving a few weeks ago, I helped my dad take the bed apart and when we picked the top mattress up, there was a gift card in the center of the box spring. It was wrapped up and said Merry Christmas! It was so strange. They couldn't figure out where it came from. Come to find out, it was from about 3 years ago! No one has any idea how it ended up there. So, anyway, on the back it said that after 12 months, there would be a service fee deducted every month off the card of $1.50. So, we figured the card was empty. Well, I called and it still had the same amount on it. They hadn't deducted any so, we got to eat at Red Robin. They have really good fajitas!
So, onward and upward; Went to Wal-Mart after dinner and they had it, but it was really huge. It would be perfect if I had more lenses and such but not good for me at this time in my life. So.... the hunt continues for a great bag. Not too huge, not too ugly, and not too expensive! Is that too much to ask? lol

Well, Tonight is just a real quick post to say that I got the lens today! Scott bought it for me and I have been playing with it tonight a little bit but I have so much to learn about it but so far it is reaaaallllllly fun! I will post pics tomorrow sometime. Too-da-loo!

Well----- Ta Da!! Here it is!!! I am SOOOO very excited. I can't believe it came in one week! The paper said it would be 4-6 weeks. I am glad they were wrong.

Only bummer is I don't have a lens for it yet. So, right now it is useless. I can't even play with it. I can only admire it! I am excited to have it though. I can't afford the lens yet and thought I would have the lens by the time the camera came in. Such is life. And of course, the weather is finally warm enough to go out and the sun is actually shining. Even though everything is bare still, I would be out practicing if I could. :) Well, have to get ready for work but just had to post to show it off! Have a great day everyone!

Hello all~
Today I thought I had to work but I looked at the wrong schedule and got up to start getting ready and noticed so I had a freebie. I worked in my craft room- organizing and stuff and then I worked on some crafts. I needed a brain boost so I came out and did some Wii Fit hoping that would stimulate the blood flow to my brain and I could be more creative again, but since I haven't been exercising, it just made me tired. I ate some dinner and got back at it trying something new, I tried working a little bit with some craft clay. Had it for a while with plans to do it but never did. It was ok but different than I thought. You have to scrape the back of the mold even with the mold or else it comes out looking like it has borders. Hard to describe but it makes it not look right. It was something different to do anyway and now I will see how they paint up and glue on things--I did some roses (of course. lol) to glue on projects to make them shabby chic. Seen lots of other people do it so I thought I'd try. It might be easier to just buy them on Ebay. lol.
Now for the big news---- My camera is on order!!!!!!!! YaY!! It will probably be about 4-6 weeks (bummer) but it is ordered! They have not deducted the money from my account yet but I will be watching it! :o)
Getting late and I am cold and going to snuggle under the covers and drift off to dreamland. Nighty-Night all~
