Good evening all in bloggerland!
I read a post about headboards from A house in the roses and how she was deciding on what kind of headboard to get.  She had great pics of some ideas and so I thought I would do a post showing my new design for the wall above the bed.   I still want to add a shelf and a few more things to the wall but it is so much better than it was.  {The wine glass candles were the only 2 matching ones I could find for now.  lol}
Unfortunately there isn't a wall big enough to center the bed on so mine kinda looks strange next to another curtain but I still like it.

This is a close up of the curtains at the top--just gathered and held with wire and roses strung on the wire.

This is the picture of the idea I based it on (from someone's blog but I don't remember where).  I didn't have money for a new headboard and I knew when I saw this pic. I knew I had some curtains still in the package so I got them out and did what I could to start making it based on the pic here.

Just a couple more pretty ones I found somewhere on the net and I thought I'd throw them in for eye candy!

Have a great night and if you have any ideas for mine to look more complete, please let me know.  I am looking for a way to finish/add more things.

Let me take you on a tour of my Craft Room

So, I figure many of you thought I stopped blogging altogether; but I just have not been getting much computer time in to do any blogging.

Anyhoo~~  I got my craft room done finally!!!!!  I am so excited to go in there and get some crafting done.  There has been no real area big enough to do any crafting due to all the clutter.  There are, of course, some things left to sort and do, but it is the most done I have ever had a craft room.  Everything is at least separated into categories and with like items.  So, without further ado..........

This is what you see when you first walk in the door:

Then, when you turn to the right, this is one of the windows and my stamp wall.  I have shown it before, but now I added a place for foam stamps since they wouldn't stay on the shelf with the wooden ones.

(the foam ones):  they are all sticky back velcro  pieces and just stuck to a piece of plexiglass mounted on the wall.

Moving to the left of that corner, is my desk.
I am so very fortunate to have a desk like this.  I spotted it in an antique store one day and the guy wanted $1000 for it but he said that the roll top didn't work, and so he was selling it for $500.  He said he had layaway and so that is how I acquired it.
I have always loved it but almost got rid of it a few times because of the fact that it is so huge that it just wasn't working out in tiny apartments so, it was in storage for a great deal of time.  One of the places I had to store it was in a barn.  The weather was no friend to the desk.
So, to make a long story short.... It is in very poor shape but I still love it. So, it works out great for a craft desk because I don't have to worry about getting it messed up because it has no real "value" anymore, but I still love it and all it's little drawers.
I am so excited to get it back into use--it has been a few years.

Moving to the left of the desk is my storage shelf that I tried to make look decent by getting coordinating boxes when I could afford them.
--side note:  not sure why it looks like some of the shelves are buckling under the weight, they really are not.  Just the way the picture came out.  There isn't really anything heavy on any of the shelves.  lol

Then in this corner, I had some material for sewing projects stored in a tote and in boxes.  I didn't have any decorative boxes left.  So, I ended up putting a cloth over it to look like a table.  I kinda like how it came together and all fit with my sewing machine and sewing boxes perfectly on top.

Now, I need some suggestions on how to organize my sticker collection.  I know it is way too big, but anyway, I have folders separating the different categories but they are still too tall and wide to fit into any particular holder so, I just have them down in a tote.

Then moving to the left, here is my very practical (not so pretty) plastic drawers that hold a lot of  my goodies nice and organized.  I am planning on trying to fancy them up sometime.

And finishing the tour is my buttons collection in jars by colors.

Oh, just one more thing about my room that I love... I got this very old typewriter that I have been wanting to post pics. for a few weeks now.   I got it at a garage sale for only $5.00!!  I love having it.

Thank you so much for looking and I welcome any comments or suggestions.
Have a great day!
